so my last entry was made on jan. 2nd, 2008.. vowing to update my deviantart throughout the year.  well, we see how that worked out.  i'm not going to make that promise again, however i am going to be doing some gallery cleanup/editing.. and will definitely be adding new work, but in the meantime, check out danahawleyphoto.net!

2008.

i welcome you.
especially since eight is my favorite number.

2007 was quite interesting.. especially the 2nd half of it.
lots of self discovery, personal changes made, new experiences, new people, fun relationships.

it can only mean that 2008 is going to be even better...
at least, one hopes.

i'm starting 2008 off with a bang. photography-wise at least.
i'm going to be updating my dA account. regularly. lets not call it a resolution though, that's just lame.

and i'm also doing the project 365 thing.. one self-portrait a day.. figured 1.1.08 was as good a time to start as ever. i've got a set going on my flickr account for that at flickr.com/photos/bemyillusion so check that out.. some days will be more rockin than others, of course.

anywho - happy 2008 to all of you.. and i look forward to sharing with you this year!

so it's been terribly too long since i've immersed my creativity into the world of dA... how sad. i finally posted a deviation just now, after months of nothing. so woohoo!  it's a little skatepark series.. and i'll be posting a few more for you to check out as well.

with work & what not, i've been concentrating on photography for work and less and less my OWN creativity & not actual news work. it's tough. i need to get back to ME some and see what i can come up with. it's been too long.

hopefully i'll be back around soon. ;)

stolen on 55th 3rd

okay, so i wish i had been stolen on 55th & 3rd.. thank you dave matthews.

anywho, i just got back from a long weekend in new york.
the big city.
the big apple.
first time.

the conclusions (although, fairly obvious)
that i made on this nyc weekend are as follows:
1. there are too many damn people there. (duh)
2. the subway is slippery. literally.
3. the dogs pee on the SIDEWALKS people! i can't get over that.
4. canal street/chinatown can be avoided.
5. nyc cab drivers make me scared for my life. all of them.

anywho, needless to say, i took over 1,000 photos
while i was there. of course. they are sitting on my computer
waiting for my editing artistry to take over.. so once i've
got those edited and ready for view, i'm sure i will posting
a number of them here on dA. the rest will probably be on my flickr.. so keep an eye out there.

okay. i suppose i should get back to work now.
